I love the note and I especially love the narrative. You did it in a way that was, I don't know. Not boring. There was humor to it, an edge that kept it fun and interesting and such a pleasure to read. This was super great!

But you seem to have misunderstood the saying "Tit for Tat"; "Tat" in that sense, isn't short for "tattoo". It's more of a "I showed you mine, now you show me yours" kind of thing. In this case, Kate's "Tat" was her reason for becoming drawn to a career in the NYPD homicide division. Since Castle knows her reason, she wants to know what drew Castle to writing murder/mystery/macabre novels. That's his "tit".

So, in season 1 and 2, no mention had been made of Kate's "tattoo".

Oh my! Nice fidelity to the relationship up to that point. Fun, hot, and diabolically unresolved (appropriately) at the end.
