Im not a person that cries easily, but oh my gosh did this get me good. It is easily one of the best stories I have ever had the pleasure of reading. The way you conveyed the emotions and thoughts was magnificent and I'd like to thank you for writing this. It was beautiful and I'm so glad I found it.

There were about twelve points in this story where I was so emotional and happy that a sound much like a teakettle came out of my mouth. So I can say with honesty that this was absolutely fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Really though, this is amazing.

I've heard of this story over Tumbler. "One of the best HeavyxMedic fics." And they were right!
I was up all night nursing a sick child and I've read this straight through three times in a row. There are always new discoveries with every reading, and it's raw emotions and sweet 'slice of life' moments always keep it new and special. I have it bookmarked and will keep reading and enjoying it in the future. Thank you for writing such a wonderful story.
Even I hope to see a Helmet Party extension to this story. The simple description of spots on the letter has conjured so many images for me, hitting me straight to the heart. Fine example of your amazing style.

I am speechless. This was beautiful beyond words...& I can only wonder why it isn't fandom famous yet. Six reviews? This deserves so much more recognition that it seems to have gotten. I read it over a day or so, & I had to force myself to not cry, or laugh out loud, or plainly sob into the nearest shoulder! (I read it in class, so unfortunately I wasn't able to just break down :C) but really, not only is this my new favorite TF2 fic, it's probably my new favorite fic over all. I literally started sobbing like baby when it was over. I literally have no criticism for you. I loved it THAT much. In summary this is a gorgeous fic that every living human should read?! yesssss also PS even if you just continued with oneshots set in the same universe/timeline, I would love to see a sequel!

Wow. Just absolutely wow. I'm shocked this hasn't received as much appraisal as it deserves. Half asleep when I started reading this thinking 'aw hell too long for one go'. Very wrong and glad I am, I couldn't stop reading and I'm sad I've finished now!

I wish I was better at this reviewing sort of thing ahah. But I must say you took a (rather long) drabble of nostalgia and recollection and turned it into something even more riveting than even some of the best multi-chaptered, present-time relationship fics I've read. Heart warming and breaking, and I bawled like a baby multiple times. Especially for Archimedes. Everything was perfect and nothing hurt.

Okay, well, lots of things hurt. Good hurt. Good excuse-me-while-I-grin-and-laugh-and-cry-at-the-same-time hurt. But that's beside the point.

I agree with a couple of the other reviewers. I would love to see something like this for Soldier and Engineer's side of the story, and even Spy and Sniper (there seemed to be a little insinuated secrecy and/or late-blooming with them so I'd like to see your take on how that blossomed).

Nonetheless, this was a little slice of wonderful you've made and I must thank you for writing and sharing it. I can't wait to read more of your work and see what kinds of other things you come up with in the future!
