At least even if Madame de changey was intimidating, it was understandable that she tried to control raoul. She did not want raoul to be like his father and brother. And consent on both parties! What frustrates me about raoul is that, he can say sensible things save for when he demands that she come with him to wherever he pleases without asking if she wants to or not. I guess the strongest gene amongst the two parents was the father.
