Reviews for Visionary
Higuchimon chapter 1 . 12/28/2012
[Insert gushing here]

More seriously, this is incredible. It completely feels like a scene we never saw in canon, which (as you know well) is some of the highest praise I know how to offer. It's beautifully well written, Jim's parents & the doctors are well characterized, and Jim himself is just...Jim. In all the very best ways.

Congratulations! Awesome fic!
Satari-Raine chapter 1 . 12/26/2012
Ahh, thank you so very much for this lovely surprise! That was sweet of you, Heleen.

As for the story, your portrayal of young Jim and Karen was excellent, in my view. I also greatly enjoyed the take of the aftermath of his sacrifice and how it would play into his family, considering his past isn't well known; you did really well with what little canon gave! The confusion, Karen caring and how the eye would connect to Jim, and just Jim being Jim - all of it made a excellent read. Sorry I'm not more coherent; I'm fangirling.

Once again, thank you very much for this surprise. I really appreciated it. 3
Huasen-Butter chapter 1 . 12/26/2012
Heh, I always did wonder about what happened when Jim had to go back home (considering that he doesn't appear to be an orphan like Johan is implied to be in the show).
[Though this does bring up an interesting question on whether or not the Eye of Orichalcum grows considering the fact that he got it before puberty apparently.]
Lovely detail as always; I really should review "So Far, So Good" one day. (But it would probably be full of mindless praise).
I like that bit about depth perception. (And that's all I could come up with. Sorry.)
Uhhhh...it sounds canon? (This is essentially how I sum up your writing style in my head.)
