So beautiful, I love their brotherly bond and the ending is just so perfect. The way Fili tries to pretend that Kili is just asleep: ughhh it's too much for me. I do agree with your interpretation that they would have a "together or not at all" kind of bond and that if one of them was dying, the other would voluntarily follow: as much as Tolkien's choice makes me cry buckets, at least he let them go together and didn't separate them and make one of the brothers angst for the rest of his life (coughlookingatyoujkrowlingcough).

Anyways, one of best Fili/Kili death scene fics out there in my opinion, great job! (I still don't why I put myself through this torture by reading Bo5A fics though...)

This is beautiful and sad, I hope the scene in the third film is like this as it is very touching and you have made it possible to empathize and sympathize with the characters. As a side note- I have just finished reading all of your other stories and i have to say that i have thoroughly enjoyed them all ) keep up the good work!
