I have to say that I loved this story so much and I would have loved Merlin more if it had ended more like this story than the way it actually did.
I always loved Mordred and felt like he really tried to do the right thing but in the end Camelot failed him. And I knew that Merlin tried to see the good in Mordred eventhough his instinct told him not to.

Now in 2019 I'm having flashbacks to the series and to the characters I loved. Feeling kinda sad but at the same time happy that I once found this series and was able to watch it from the very beginning to the very end.

I shed a couple of tears.

I wonder if mordred really knows.

I hate it when Merlin is so accepting. With the power he have, he can verry well leave the cell and get out and no one would be able to hold him.

Lets just hope Arthur is not a complete fool! I would like to think he would be curious to hear Merlins story before he decided on his judgement. Still this is Arthur we are talking about.
As for Merlin deciding to die beside Mordred - no Merlin. Use a little of that magic and take Mordred and yourself far, far away. Foolish man.

YES! I so wanted the trial to go exactly like that but I didn't think you'd actually have Merlin reveal his magic. I envisioned Merlin displaying his magic but with a flame in his hand like in the episode 'The Sorcerers Shadow' so it was funny how similar my fantasy was to this chapter. Great work, eagerly awaiting more.

Welcome back and what a chapter to return with! Merlin is obviously tied of it all. Who could blame him? Loved the reveal. What will happen now? Guess that is the bis question.
I would think either Arthur has to rethink everything or lose Merlin - and Mordred - forever. I would hope that if it all goes pair shape that Merlin will just leave with Mordred. I hope.

Hey Shirley. How thrilled I was to see a new posting - and not the dreaded 'authors note'. A chapter worth the wait too.
Mordred seems to have more faith than Merlin at this stage. I fear he has lost too many to lose another that he loves so much.
Arthur really needs to think carefully about all this. Considering all his closest knights (and wife) have all confirmed they do not think magic is evil, he needs to reconsider the laws - before it is too late.
Even Kilgharrah can see this.
