I, as a teenage girl, am slightly offended by this. I know what you mean though. My sister acts like that. She's 10 though. I think that most people claim up and don't rant like that, but the few who do are usually girls, drunk, or both.

No please don't re-write it completely. Please leave what you already have in your re-write because what you have so far is Great. You have a great plot line, you have managed to put a lot of feeling into your story so far, and you have a lot of suspense in it. You have the starting of a great story and a lot of room to develop it. So like I said Please keep what you already have.
