brilliant story

I received the notice that you'd posted a new story this morning, but didn't have time to read it, so I've been looking forwards to it all day like a Christmas present waiting to be unwrapped. Needless to say, I wasn't disappointed! I love the way you are gradually filling in all the segments of backstory of the boys' early lives in Kansas.
Do you have some sort of timeline for them all, so your readers could read them all in sequence?

I loved this. You did a wonderful job (as always) of showing the characters as characters - just real people with everyday hopes and fears and a real sense of family.

Aw, this was a perfect story for Christmas! Scott may have been the one who came home from school, but the whole family was just so perfectly done. I've never been to KS and will probably never get there, but now I feel like I've just visited there. Merry Christmas, BoomerCat!
