It would TRULY be Christmas if you would consider busting right through that "complete" designation and just kept right on with the brilliant writing to accomlish a nice long, TRULY complete story that takes them from the beginning to ending we all want to see: Holmes and Watson in love and committed to each other.

I LOVE your writing. I'm used to your 'Silly-H' (lamp-shade) Holmes... I so want him myself, but arrh, this ACD Holmes, with his awkwardness and shy acceptance of Watson's affection is wonderful.

This is lovely. It's quite sad, that last bit, but it's beautiful, and Watsons's yearning is heartbreaking. I can completely see Holmes being in such surprise at getting presents, and then giving an awkward hug as thanks. And I love the bit with the tree discussion, with Holmes softening when Watson admits 221B is his home.
