Nice fic. I like how you switch back and forth in the time stream though it did take me a moment to realize what you were doing lol:) That was a good way of showing Shinichi's mind set and what had happened that lead to his nightmare. I also really liked how you played with where the knife wound was on Ran; making it seem like earlier in the story when he looked at her neck that he looks away for a completely different reason then to avoid seeing the scar:) Great writing!

I know its kinda late but I tottaly LOVE it I have read tons of shinran stories but this is one of the best kinda sad but really cute and it is also well-written up :)

It's a little sad but it was the right blend of romance and drama.
Like you, I always believe that Shinichi will break his morals when it comes to Ran's safety. And I love how you made this little piece to portray Shinichi's sacrifice.

This is jarringly dark, but beautiful. I like that it explores how Shin'ichi might react if pushed to such a choice. The tenderness between Ran and Shin'ichi and your simple, yet detailed writing style offset the angst in a lovely way. Good job!

I loved this. Very nice story, the concept and how it played out were excellent. It's fun the contemplate what would happen if the characters had to go against their morals, and sad but nice to read about it.

I would do the same. No question.
