Oh, wow! I really enjoyed this story! I love stuff that expands on Tenzins family and I really appreciated this inside look into Jinoras thoughts throughout this ordeal. And it was written so well and everyone was perfectly in character! Great job!

The flying bison, Oogi, escaped and there were other bison at Air Temple Island. I'll bet they got away. Those bison weren't carring any passangers. As long as a couple of flying bison are left, airbending can always be re learnt by nomads or monks in the future.

I liked this story. I liked how we find out exactly the way the Tenzin and his family were caught, and how they should bravery in the face of Amon. Good job.

This was just... wow. What with how LoK is extremely quick-paced, I did realise that it seemed to miss moments like the ones in this beautiful one-shot.

You write well, and with sensitivity towards the characters. What I saw in this piece just took my breath away. Despite the danger looming closer and closer, the family of Air Nomads managed to come together and share such a tender moment. Each of the children's decisions of either fighting or surrendering was simple, and yet it roused so many emotions in me. The last line of this piece especially drove these emotions home.

Even captured, they refused to surrender their spirit. To me, this piece was just absolutely heart-wrenching.

I've been looking for a story about these missing moments forever and this is all I expected and more. Great writing, great characterization; can I hug you?

First story I've come across that bridges the gap between the airbenders 'getting away' and then suddenly turning up caught. That was quite jarring to see upon first watching the show, particularly since the airships clearly turned back. But what can you do.

This oneshot focuses on quite a poignant moment within the canon, one that highlights both familial emotions/motivations as well as those born of cultural identity. I like that the story doesn't cut right to the action, so to speak, but allows us to get a glimpse of the family in a quiet moment of love and closeness. Having seen that, what we know to come afterwards has more emotional emphasis and impact. In closing, this is a well written piece, and I enjoyed reading it.

This is beautiful. I just love the Airbender kids, they're so sweet and so smart and so brave. Meelo's right, Amon could never win, not with Jinora, Ikki, and Meelo around. Great story!

That was, without a doubt, the strongest and most heart-wrenching dedication I have read in quite a while because you address a subject that is painful and very true. In reading the story, my emotions were channeled through the heroic Air Nomads to the young children at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Thank you for these words in the introduction to your story.

As for the story itself, you have very powerful moments throughout. This exchange was especially strong because of the simplicity of language yet significance of underlying meaning: "Can you imagine telling Rohan about the day he was born?" Jinora said, laughing a little. "I mean, years from now we'll be celebrating his birthday.” /We have to live through today first/, more than one person thought.

The story about Malu, so small and simple, cut through to my heart. And then the discussion of sky bison afterwards and how there would always be hope for airbenders was even more beautifully crafted. Jinora’s ultimate conclusion, that she couldn't be like Malu because she depended on her family, was also moving. Just . . . I rarely get as many emotions after reading a piece as right now, but the dedication and the strength of language was just overwhelming. You did not merely tell a story. You have developed a piece that moves beyond storytelling and into depicting a message of hope and courage, one that concludes with a paragraph worthy of the vaults of great fanfiction. Your final line speaks to endurance regardless of circumstance, and I thank you for taking the time to write and share this piece. It's certainly one worthy of my favorites list.
