I really love this story.
I like you keep it very centric about Jessica. I think she'll manage to escape the Volturi... at last for some years. I can't see her doing the same thing Bella did: throwing her human life away to be a vampire. I trust she'll find a way, she is a fighter. She'll take whatever years left even if she knows at some point the Volturi will find her. I don't think Aro will be against a deal, but at the end Jessica will pay a price (death or undeath). When I said a deal, it's more like "ok you can stay with the Cullen, but in 5 years you'll have to choose between death or to become a vampire"..
I like her interactions with Demetri, I know their relationship isn't healthy. But a vampire/human pairing is never healthy. Not even Edward/Bella. Jessica will have a lot to think.
I don't know if Demetri is honest, but that's not whit is about. I think he has a dangerous obsession with Jessica. He's a tracker and it's part of his nature to be like that.
But Jessica doesn't want to be 17 years old forever. She has a fascination for vampire but after her last interactions with Demetri, she'll understand how twisted she'll be if she stays with the Volturi.

Wow, Jessica snapped, didn't she? One moment she's screaming at the top of her lungs, and the next, she's mingling with Demetri on the floor, kissing and more; she'll come to regret it later, I know it. I can tell Jess had a mental breakdown from the stress from the constant anxiety for her life. Though they give her the "freedom" to go out into town and stroll some part of the castle, she can't leave; if she tries, she's good as dead. Even with the "protection," Jessica knew there was no telling when danger would come her way.

And on top of that, they toss an innocent woman at her to see what she will do, only having to witness the poor girl die before her eyes in the end. I would lose my mind, too, if I have to go through what Jess did. I wouldn't want to die, but at the same time, I wouldn't want to live treated like a toy or a pet. But she's stuck, trapped. I'll be betting Jessica is or starting to wish she never met Alec nor ever knew about vampires being real if it means she can resume living her life oblivious of their existence.

I'm glad you're doing ok, especially with the crisis happening around the globe. Reading your works is keeping my mind off my worries, even if it's only temporary. I love to get lost in my imagination in a good book or, in this case, fanfics. Thank you for the update. I'll be waiting for a new chapter whenever you post it up. Stay safe, and stay healthy! i feel so sorry for jessica right now, she's living everyday as if she's walking in a single thread and she has to stay balance, if she tipped to the side it would be the end of her life unless someone will be below her to catch her while i love how the chapter ended you could just see how much of a wreck her mind is.

I got really confused cause I have no idea who she’s gonna end up with (which is probably the point) but I need to know. Her relationship with Alec burned, she no longer trusts Demitri, Mike doesn’t even exist at this point, and I’m not entirely sure what’s going on with the Kings.

I find these stories give hope and joy in everyday life, especially with the current context of coronavirus (we are all confined in France too and it's long to keep wainting).
I also saw that you wanted to make short stories on black butler... What a wonderful idea! Personally I would love a night love between Julia and Vincent (where Vincent appears inexperienced and where Julia reassures him : I find the vulnerable side of Vincent so sweet..). Or a marriage proposal between Vincent and Julia (where Julia find Vincent too young but but end up being convinced).
