This is great, what a good time travel fic. I hope you decide to resume this story, oh and thank you!

I admit that I wasn't as interested when I read the first chapter. Something felt off stylistically, and maybe I just wasn't clicking with how different Sakura was. I clicked on the story because of the ItaSaku time-travel, but I put it down part-way through the first chapter and almost stopped before I told myself to give it a longer chance. I was still hesitant when the time-travel happened (it didn't feel as justified). Then Sakura got to Konoha, just dropped out of the sky and then wound up in Itachi's house. "Like I haven't seen that before," I thought. There were grammar and occasional pronoun issues...

Then, I don't know. Somewhere following the intro, it's like the story hit its stride and just burst open. Some errors persisted, but the style smoothed out. And then everything went DIFFERENTLY. Sakura admits to being a time-traveler and the Hokage and Itachi decide to believe and help her. She's placed with the Uchiha for a PURPOSE, to prove they're trustworthy instead of just ItaSaku progression. (I couldn't stop laughing during their spar.) Kakashi and Shisui come to know that she's from the future, too. Orochimaru makes an appearance. Tsunade's being targeted for having taught Sakura in the future. Sakura's helping Itachi to loosen up a little, Kakashi's finding friends in his new team, and I think Shisui might be getting a crush on Sakura. I'm afraid about Sakura and Kakashi lying about Itachi's part in the massacre, since hiding the truth seems to not have helped in the future (the Hokage's right that that's basically just what Itachi did), but we'll see what happens. Sakura starts to understand how large a role Shisui played in Itachi's choices. Sasuke and Naruto and little Sakura have made friends, and then Sakura gets hurt and Naruto actually uses his Kyuubi powers trying to protect her without knowing what happens. And Sasuke's such a cute bossy kid who loves his friends so much! My heart cried when Naruto explained what happened with Sakura and then Sasuke struggles with running after him before finally chasing him down. I kind of hope, to answer Naruto's, "But what if you get hurt because of me?" that Sasuke answers, "Then I'll just become stronger!" and then cue training. I'm worried about little Sakura, though. And where were the ANBU who were supposed to be watching that they let Sakura get hurt to the point of needing the hospital and didn't step in until Naruto lost control?! Like, seriously!

The politics between the Uchiha and the council got both better and then worse, and now the politics thanks to Danzo has gotten really sticky. The thing with time-traveling is that you've added an extra person where there hasn't been one, and many times it seems like that person just somehow fits seamlessly into the past without people getting suspicious. Very unrealistic, particularly in a ninja village. Since that's the time she enters, Sakura tries to smooth things over and prevent the Uchiha massacre, and yet she's creating many of her own problems BECAUSE she's from the future and seems to be unintentionally progressing what she came to prevent. I love it. The webs are getting stickier, and Sakura keeps trying to do things herself. But doing things yourself is what leads to the massacre in the first place! Not to mention that this Tsunade isn't ready to return to Konoha, so I'm really interested in reading where things go. Her question sounds like she's also feeling out Sakura, trying to figure out what prompted the future her to take her on as her apprentice.

On a side note, I find it a little ironic that Sakura's trying to fix other problems after running from her own, namely being named Hokage. I wonder how the Third Hokage or Tsunade or Team Heiwa would react to learning that the time-travel resulted because she was planning on leaving the village to avoid being forced with a title that she felt wasn't hers. I mulled over why Tsunade would choose to use the scroll then, and while I don't know if I'm reading into this correctly, given the knowledge of the new jinchuriki and how conflict broke out to claim control of her (although I wonder why they selected that girl in particular, since it seems a little strange), if Sakura left, that would probably just escalate the conflict. Sending Sakura to prevent conflict caused by her defection sounds like a smart move on Tsunade's part, especially since there's the additional chance that the future is made better.

I couldn't put the story down until I finished it. I don't usually like when authors feel the need to explain their narrative choices, since I've come to feel that it's justification when they shouldn't have to justify, but I liked reading your explanations on why you've written the characters as they are. They were thoughtful and showed how much effort you put into weighing the characterizations. I haven't finished reading the Naruto manga or watching the anime (so I don't have many guesses as to the robed guy, although when I hear of masks I naturally think of Tobi), but your explanations made sense, and I really like how you've written the characters. I'll probably even like the intro now that I can understand the future better.

Anyhow, I really hope that you'll come back to work on this story, time and health and interest allowing. You started a real gem of a time-travel story here, and I think it would be a shame for it to end prematurely, provided that you're willing and able to continue writing, of course. But if life has stolen you away, that's okay, too (although I pray you'll forgive me for selfishly wishing that you come back to update this, because it really is a gem). OMG I just found this story and I'm already caught up. I couldn't put it down even though I had exams to study for. I really like it so far! I know it has been a couple years since the last update but I'm going to stay hopeful and look forward to the next chapter!

I’m (quite) picky with how itachi is portrayed in any stories I read and the fact I read all the uploaded chapters means I absolutely adore your characterisation of itachi and in fact, portray the childish and maturity of young itachi. As much as he had the knowledge and view of hokage - that such intelligence is still limited by his youth and biology. Having read Itachi shinden, it’s how I see itachi would’ve react has Sakura been at his time. Please update soon!

Since when itachi is smarter than Shikamaru ? It's a false assumption. Itachi is a prodigy as a ninja, and yes, is really smart, but not smarter than Shikamaru

Although I don't typically go for unfinished fanfics, I decided to give this a read and I have to say I was not disappointed. I've read quite a few other stories where Sakura goes back in time, but this is a nice twist. A lot of the stories that I've read have Sakura keeping the fact that she's from the future a secret until many chapters later, but I like how you wrote it so as select key players know of her secret. Also, even though Sakura has the mentality of her older self and physicality of her younger self, I still find the interactions between Itachi and Sakura so cute. . . Anyways, I see you haven't updated in awhile. I don't want to nag about how you should update, but I just hope perhaps one day you return to this story and finish it. Nonetheless, it's been a nice read! :)
