Hehehe, I love Meg stories (romance or not)! This part was my favourite, "You picturing heavy drinking, tattoos, two hundred and fifty pounds?" Did you go for the polar opposite of Mac? Great story :)

Oh my god. Jag. That show was my twenties. (I read the other reviews so far, and I'd like to say that I do actually remember Meg! She was a pretty cool chick. I'm guessing there isn't a lot of fanfictions about her since Harm and Mac were so epic for so long, but I'll have to do some hunting!) I do wish we'd gotten more of an explanation on her leaving other than she was 'transferred out' but oh well. I hope she made a good career for herself.

I'd forgotten all about Meg! Looks like I'll have to watch season one again...and the whole show, lolll, it's been like years. But I do remember him telling Mac on that boat that he'd expected his new partner to be some sort of big gruff man, so I like that you put that in here. Good job.

Hm, what to say? Well, my first and predominant feeling is disappointment. Disappointment (plus surprise and shock and disbelief) not only over the coolness and casualness of their goodbyes, as if they were strangers and not two people who meant so much to each other as they did and went through so much together, but also that nothing happened between Harm and Meg, considering physicalemotionalmental attraction was always a part of their relationship and especially considering that now they are free to give in to their chemistry (which they had a LOT - frankly in that one year more than he had with Mac in those 10 years of it being shoved down our collective throats) with Meg no longer in the same chain of command and thus frat regs no longer apply (which they did before and always did for him and Mac).

The next feeling is quite honestly incredulity at this part "She took it and they shook, then engaged in a bro hug". The thing is that a "bro hug" is just that, "bro", thus among MALE friends. Meg was a woman, an attractive young woman who sure as heck shared with Harm too much chemistry, sexual tension and romantic interest for them to ever share even a bro-sis hug - the idea they had a sibling kind of relationship is just silly and not even worth considering. :)

And lastly? I sure as heck hope Meg didn't have anything to do with choosing Mac as his next partner, because introducing Mac into the show (and everything else to do with her and Harm) was a manifest of such amazing stupidity that Meg would never be able to sink down to that level, no matter how hard she tried. :D

I conclude with my hopes your next JAG fic is one that ends with Harm/Meg romance as there is definitely not enough of these nowadays. ;-)

JAG! Wow. I loved that show. It's part of my belisarious addiction(magnum, jag and ncis.) I always forget that Mac was not his first partner. I'm looking forward to see what you do.
