LizaLovesPeeta chapter 1 . 3/12/2013 ow man.. I mean.. woman! I really enjoy how you show us in little pieces the immensity of Peeta's spirit and his love and natural goodness.. how he can be so insightful and thoughtful and just flat out good and how all his actions, even when he's terribly self-deprecating at times, are always for what he believes is the greater good. It's great to see also not an angry and mean Gale (many stories seem to portray him on that light) but as just a strong and as a consequence stubborn young man, who's incredibly good in nature but forced to face life in survival/doubt-all mode because of his life experiences... This was really a beautiful piece showing us Peeta and Gale at their best. |
schur655 chapter 1 . 1/4/2013 I liked these two portrayals very much |
rachelalala chapter 1 . 12/22/2012 I love seeing some Gale/Peeta interaction! I hope you continue with this story because we really didn't see their relationship in the books at all! |
Anla'shok chapter 1 . 12/16/2012 It's "rendez-vous". Just sayin' xD Hazelle not blinking an eye at Haymich acting well... like himself was almost as hilarious as Peeta looking at furious Haymich is dismissive fondness. Ah Gale finding himself liking Peeta despite himself... Aren't they both sweet in a night/day way. Peeta has the upper hand because he's on his own turf and has a way with words but I like that Gale isn't a doormat either. The 'Seam pride' part was excellent. I don't think she's capable of understanding how we could possibly coexist without killing each other over her. They can coexist? really? not 120% of their lives is about pawing after Katniss being selfish about their love? you sure? xD |
MissLevinLover chapter 1 . 12/16/2012 Weirdly enough, I' re-reading Catching Fire for about the 5th time... This was amazingly detailed, delving into the rivalry that surrounds both boys but also using that rivialry to bring them somewhat closer. I loved the fact that, like when Peeta met Katniss for the first time, you used Peeta's baking and bread to bring the two together, creating a sort of unspoken bond. It seems like that is Peeta's way of being able to make friends and or getting to know people. He uses his baking skills, generousity and his way with words to somehow show his true nature. Like in Mockingjay, he showed he was making progress with recovering from the Trackerjacking by baking that beautiful cake for Annie and Finnick's wedding. Katniss was able to spot it almost instantly. You have done a brilliant job once again. I do love your little expansions! Wish you all the best and hope you are okay. Sam x |
