Thank you Eglentyne for that epistolary exchange. So formal, so... victorian. Full of formalities and sweet details. We could almost see the candlelight desks and smell the wax seals... I tremendously appreciated that slow ascent into eachother, getting closer and closer, from formal to lover. Nothing graphic, all for the imagination and the galanterie. I like the fact that we assist to the crumbling of Ciel's protective wall against his demon, when he realized that he was desired for who he is, not as a meal and to Sebastian incomprehension toward himself and his unknown feelings. I think it was realistic, if we can say so with that kind of premisses ;-) Thank you!

So far as Sebastian being OOC-nah. In my opinion, one of the most interesting things about Sebastian is his ability to perfectly be anything his contractor desires. Why should he be any less convincing a smitten lover than he is a butler or an assassin? And, of course, in my own head-canon, an intelligent eternal creature, demon or otherwise, will have developed the capacity for genuine emotion, whether or not he cares to admit it to himself. ;)

Wow! That was amazing! I love all of the emotion between the two. I liked how Ciel attempted to put Sebastian in his place via letter, yet eventually touch started to go against Ciel's wishes. And I also liked how Ciel was so curious as to why he felt these emotions. All in all, I love it! 3

Did you consider writing a companion piece that shows what is happening to inspire the letters? If you have already written such a piece would you be so kind as to direct me to it?

In the past, I have found myself to be very dismissive of romance between these two simply because I find the age difference to be unsettling. However, very, VERY recently, I have decided to give it a real go because I feel like I can make exceptions if things are well written. And you are one of them! There is such a gentle intimacy in letter writing in the first place, very little else is needed to make it more so, but somehow you've managed to do it. I think a big part of that lies in the way they address each other and how they sign their letters. Also, it's obvious that you read Victorian literature- your language reads very comfortably. :)

I like how you portrayed Sebastian here. I think there's so much more going on underneath his usual deviousness and playfulness with Ciel.

Maybe a sequel? :)
