Nice, a fun little game of psychoanalysis with a bit of emotion thrown in, it could easily come across as forced, but you make it flow very naturally. My only question is how early it is in their relationship - I'd imagine they wouldn't quite divulge this much after only a year. That aside, well done.

this is such a compeling story!

That was beautifully written! I had doubts, but this really went far beyond my expectations. Holmes and Watson were wonderfully in character, and I found their banter to be very charming and realistic. You have an entertaining way with words, and from reading this, I can see that my own writing has a lot of room for improvement. It has rekindled my interest in writing, and for that, thank you. I do wish there would be a continuation to this, simply because it was so well done, but at the same time I am satisfied with how it ended. Perfect ending.

And that is how the relationship of a lifetime starts. It was a beautiful piece and incredibly well-written. Sometimes seeing through another's eyes is just as important as how we view life through our own eyes. And a small gesture can spawn grand things.
