Guest chapter 1 . 11/14/2014
Looks like someone posted a poorly copied first chapter of this story as their own under the same name. Thought you ought to know
Hekka chapter 37 . 10/24/2014
It seems that Loki was really the first choice of the Queen Alflyse. Otherwise she would just tried to used the situation with Thor's expulsion in her favor (seeing as the elves have broad interpretation of terms like "willingly" and such). In addition, it seems that she did not try so cardinal approach before - only after Loki's return from presumed death (as she was afraid that it would happen again. Before she got him, that is)...

Oh, I hope that over time, Eric will be able to reconsider its attitude towards Loki (given that he now has way of knowing about him, and about the whole situation in all detail).
Void chapter 23 . 10/24/2014
I'm confused... How is it possible that the prince (even second in line) didn't know what is mean (and core) of rule? Of course this cannot be true - the children of royal blood from childhood are trained to think not as children but as a future ruler, with the well-being of their people at heart (I make such a conclusion according to my research the Romanov dynasty). Of course training doesn't guarantee a good monarch, but still, this implies that any heir knows the meaning and essence of their burden.
Hekka chapter 23 . 10/24/2014
Hulk is stronger than the Asgardians? I don't think that this is true: Hulk fought against Thor, and it was not look like he overcame Thunderer. And the victory over Loki quite nominal (given that there was no actual fighting: Loki foolishly allow himself to be distracted, for which he paid. And even then it was not like that Hulk hit him any significant damage).
So if I understand correctly that shapeshifting is a very rare gift and therefore Loki did not occur that he can be shapeshifter?
Hekka chapter 4 . 10/22/2014
It seem to me that your Warriors Three and Sif smarter than originals. If they realize that Loki sees them as traitors, they should know for sure why he sees them as it (they had violated the will of not one but two kings (proving that they are true not to Asgard, and not even to their king Odin, but to the one who considers it appropriate to start a war due childish insult ...
It is instead to help the one who are supposed to be their friend, when on his shoulders fell the burden of kingdom and military conflict, commenced by wanna-be-king-Thor (and all this on the basis of Sif's conviction in her own right, Hogun's support and no real facts - such a good friends they are).

Yeah, yeah, I remember that Loki ruined the coronation of his brother (but, as I said, they did not know that for sure. Someone might think that in Asgard Loki is the only one who interested in seidr. And someone might thinkin that in Asgard no different opinions about next King Thor. There are as many opinions as people - and therefore always will be those who dissatisfied. Those whose merits and talents are not appreciated because they are not warriors, but who are not lucky enough to have the title of the second prince as some kind of shield). But Loki did ti not because of petty jealousy (it certainly has a place to be, but it is not determined Loki's plans - which also seems to me quite obvious from the movie). As I can tell, Loki hoped that (at best case) Thor go to argue with his father again, whereby Odin would have postponed the coronation until the glorious day when Thor will acquire common sense and start thinking as king should. And in the worst case - that in the heat of anger Thor will try to break the direct prohibition of their king about visiting of Jotunheim, and he would be detained by Heimdall, before the arrival of Odin. But this is where everything went wrong and if Thor's cohort actions to be expected (but it does not become less treason because of that), then Heimdall - who claims his loyalty to Allfather - committed treason by allowing hotheaded Thor go in the forbidden realm (and ease with which Heimdall did so make me think that the gatekeeper not once indulge heir's desires to the glory of battle in other realms. Probably I will not be wrong to assume that it was Loki who rescued - not once - Thor and his cohort from the deserved punishment - and hardly saw any kind of appreciation for it: after all it's so not honorable to equivocate and dodge. And yet Sif's appeal to Loki showed that they expect him to get Thor - or them, or both - out of trouble).
Loki lied Thor about Odin's death. And only after that (and not because of Jane: they knew each other for three days. Most of that time Thor dreamed of returning home - even when he realized what he will have to stay for an indefinite period; and Jane saw him as "The Skeleton Key" more than real person) Thor finally thought about the consequences of his actions (although I do not think that Loki had planned that. Rather, he just wanted to distract Thor from the task of prove himself worthy, so Loki will have a chance to correct his miscalculations and show Odin that he is his son and not otherwise).
Besides, all this deal with Destroyer... am I only one to think that if Loki wanted Thor to die, it would have happened? It got rid of the three trained Jotuns for less than a minute. Yet it did not cause any serious damage to Sif and her friends... It's not even killed one of SHIELD - just blew up their cars. And given enough time to evacuate citizens. Conclusion: when the Destroyer "fought" with the infamous quartet, it not slipped but missing on purpose. Because let's be serious - Thor was a mere mortal. So, if it was a fatal hit, by the moment when Jane reached Thor, he would not be alive.
Loki had more than enough chances to get rid of Thor. But he didn't. He didn't even make a serious effort (and yes I am referring and episode in the Avengers: while Thor ranting about the brotherhood and reconciliation Loki could inflict at least two fatal wounds). And the moment in the movie when Loki demands Thor to fight him... I do not think that it look like Loki try to kill his brother, but like attempt to provoke said brother (to finished Loki's suffering).

Oh hell... How did this happen to Jane!?
Lightning Streak chapter 11 . 3/30/2014
You know, I can count on one hand the amount of fanfics that actually have Jane and Loki together in an honest friendship, not just a weird relationship based on lust or whatever. It's a nice change from the norm. And I really like the way you're handling the plotline and Loki's insanity-er, mental health treatment. I also appreciate the amount of detail you have included here. I can see, hear, taste, and feel everything. This is great! You've got serious talent.
ChocoMuffin chapter 37 . 3/30/2014
Wow, I really enjoyed this story. Everything about it. You put a lot of heart into this, and it made my day. Thanks for being an awesome writer and for writing something as awesome as this story! Keep up the good work.

Oh my goodness, I love this story! I can't stop reading it.
LadyMoriel chapter 37 . 3/13/2014
I love this story, and I love the way you write Jane, both here and in "A Tale of Two Lokis". But man...re-reading this from a post-Thor 2 perspective...it hurts. Because it should have been more like this, it really should have (the fact that this was a relatively short amount of time compared to the millennium that his friends and family supposedly knew and cared about him is a REALLY GOOD POINT), and instead we got "Your birthright was to die" and no one but Frigga making an effort to try to understand or even visit him. :(((((
Beautiful Evil chapter 37 . 12/19/2013

That was amazing
Mystic 777 chapter 37 . 8/14/2013
I echo several previous reviews: This story does not have nearly the amount of reviews it deserves. The time, planning, and care you put into this is clearly evident. I admit to falling for some red-herrings in your plot and enjoying the slowly developing friendship between Loki and Jane. Thank you for sharing this.
