This is such a wonderful oneshot... I never (or usually don't) get emotional when reading fanfiction or books or watching movies, but this really moved me.
My granddad died a few years ago and while it might not be the same as losing a parent or a sibling... im somehow still sure that a part of me died right along with him. This small, wonderful oneshot almost brought me to tears, as dealing with grief is such a long and arduous process... you have an excellent writing style that really compliments angst. Well done.

I admit, I've read my fair share of Dumbledore bashing fics and it gets depressing after a while. I think he can be an okay guy and he'd be a greater person if he showed some empathy, especially to Snape and Harry. I understand he probably doesn't know how, it's not in his nature but it's so sweet and great to see Dumbles being more openly nice and empathetic and caring.

Man. Harry is really feeling the angst much more than usual. It's like a blanket of negativity.

Thank you for not making a creepy sexual dumbledore Harry fanfic; this type of fanfic is what I look for-and even better, yours had good writing and grammar! Quite interesting idea, I like the way you wrote that ... full of emotions, but not all kitschy! As Dumbledores's as one of my favoruite characters I'm always in search for something like that. English isn't even my mothertongue, by the way - but good piece of work!

I like this story a lot. It's what SHOULD have happened for Harry long before this. In fact, he should have been taken to see his parents' grave when he first re-entered the magical world. Dumbledore was remiss in this as in many other things.
