See, now this is the post-war psychological drama I can get behind.

In my own stories (none of which I have ever written down) these people don't make it through the disastrous events of the HP story without taking damage, either. Not necessarily the physical kind, but the emotional and mental scarring you've so compellingly evoked here. These kids were surrounded by loss, pain, death, and then some. Trauma inevitably ensues.

Which is why I'm happy to see my two favourite characters emerge stronger and wiser and, most importantly, together. Cheers for that.

What a wonderful Germione story!
I love the way the two women interact. Their talk about their lives as a book is really well done, a good example of the distancing effect in literature.

And in the very last sentence you play with this effect again and that's what makes the story complete and really great.
