Well gawsh damn it if this wasn't a pleasantly shocking read.

The one that really got me was Itsuki's. I could see that Nagato's was a reference to her being returned to her superiors following Disappearance, and that Mikuru's was her finally showing some backbone, though against Nagato, which confused me. Haruhi's was twisted, and Kyon's was definitely wicked - I could hear Crispin Freeman reciting each line in a somewhat maniacal, Alucard-like tone.

But the one I don't get is Itsuki's, though I like how it rhymed a little. What, does Itsuki silently notice Mikuru's misgivings/abuse, and understands why she really does it, like he hinted to Kyon in one episode before retracting it all? Could you shed some light on that one?

Lastly, this was a brief, engaging series of vignettes. Chilling actually.
