This was a pretty good start. The Blades request always bothered me. Sure Parthunax may have aided Alduin at one time but he's clearly not the same dragon now.

This was such a good, short piece. I liked the Dragonborn you created and Paarthurnax's dialogue is fantastically done.

Wow tears in my eyes. That was beautiful. I actually downloaded a mod that plays out scene very similar to what you have portrayed here. As someone who has benefitted from second chances and been the recipient of forgiveness and the provider of it I have always appreciated the position of Parthunaax and none of my dragonborns have ever been able to kill him. They have all been champions of the second chance. This was a wonderful read.

Man you do not half ass anything I found you through your DA2 fanfic and I am plowing through your other works and the quality is delightfully consistent thus far. I consume fanfiction voraciously- some worlds and characters I am just not ready to let go even though I no longer enjoy the games or movies or original works as much as I did before. Good fanfic feeds the hungry soul and your work is a delightful feast for the discerning reader.

WHY COULDN'T THIS BE THE ACTUAL QUEST?! BAH! Fucking Blades, when I finish the main quest and Dawnguard, I'm gonna come back as a Vampire Lord and suck every last drop of their blood out. And then I'll permanently reanimate Delphine and make her my zombie bitch, and feed Esbern to Odaviing.

Indeed, Delphine and Esbern did seem to forget that they would be breaking their vows as Blades by disobeying the Dragonborn.

I wished that they allowed you to do this in the game. My heart wrenched something fierce when I was told to kill Paathurnax. This story was perfect.
