It was nice to see what a story bringing these two together would be like. Your story worked well in that things were not perfect in their world. It was not love at first sight. Things did not come easy for Obito, but though it all, Rin and Obito worked to stay friends and let things develop in their own time...like a long forgotten chance.

This made me feel so much better than the last fic - both are excellent but Small was so heartbreaking. This is lovely. I adore the old Obito and I'm so glad he at least got the love he deserved.

This is my favourite bit - 'He can't stop kissing her. He's smiling when he does it, kissing her eyes and mouth and throat and smiling, large and wide. "Obito," Rin says, and he's smiling against her mouth, his one hand sliding up inside her blouse. "Obito, that tickles! What are you doing?"'

I like how you started out, not before the tragic accident, but rather-after. A "what-if" and it's so realistic that I can actually see this happening. The only thing I would have to nitpick at though is how Rin quickly got over Kakashi. Yes, she felt bummed out after he bluntly rejected her and yeah, she may have felt a bit overwhelmed with the look of admiration Obito gave her, but that transition of her romantic feelings was too quick to be believable.

Other than that, everything else was pretty on point. Each scene held so much potential to be /more/ (yes-yes, even though your original intent was a one-shot); literally, this could be a multi-chapter: from the first day she met him (these scenarios are always interesting) and all the way to this point of hesitance. In fact, the part where you had him living almost in seclusion could be a whole new story in itself - okay, now I'm getting carried away.

All in all, your ObitoRin stories are always a pleasure to read. Not going to lie, it's hard to find an author who could actually write this pairing -or even close to a decent level- & I'm saying that as a self-proclaimed analist when it comes to any kind of writing (in fact, I've already waded through the whole fandom).

This is a very sweet story. It's bittersweet at parts but ultimately very cute. You know just the right amount of detail to add to make it feel real.
