And the end! Aghh! The FEELS! Poor Danny, wanting to have the militia find him. Neville really *was* the only person who was honest with him and you wrote that idea perfectly. :) Nice job!

As usual, good work. I love the tough Danny montage, it's better than weak Danny.
'Major Neville finds him on the roof, one leg dangling over the edge, the other drawn up to his chest. Danny's hat is lying next to him, the sniper rifle on the other side. The man holsters his gun and sits down next to the boy, careful not to get too close.

"Going to surrender?" he asks, watching the sun peek over the horizon.

Danny hands over the rifle and lets himself be cuffed.

Major Neville, at least, had never lied to him.'
Wow. Lots of people aren't honest with him, are they? Charlie should be. Miles, Nora and Aaron should be. At least Neville never lied to him. Oh god, I'm sounding like you now. No offense :)

Danny is badass in this, and I liked it! Though I still feel really bad for him. :'( And he still gets captured in the end. Oh boy. This is not going to end well.

Please tell me there will be more from this 'verse? What's gonna happen now!
