This is by far , the most beautifully written hashirama fan fiction I've ever read .

I still think this story is perhaps the best about Hashirama, and one of the best in the Naruto category. Despite it not now being cannon, it fits the story so well that I feel it should be, and is to me! I reread it every now and then, and enjoy it anew.

This is great, but why is it written as if Madara and Hashirama never knew each other. They met as kids, it's sorta strange and some of the events have been altered. With that being said I love the descriptions, your way of writing, and this is one of the best stories I have read! Nice work.

Only problem is that Hiruzen and Uchiha Kagami (Shisui's dad) are around the same age - as confirmed via their membership in the Konoha mission Tobirama dies in vs. Gin/Kin squad.

Also, was that Kushina at the beginning of the chap supposed to be Naruto's mom or just another Uzumaki who shares the namesake? It was confusing. "Our" Kushina hasn't even been thought about yet - like, her parents are still probably teens at this point in canon timeline.

I think you made Hiruzen too young. In canon, He was at least 10 while both Hashirama and Tobirama were alive (when they told him one day he'd be hokage).

Where's Danzo? I always pictured Danzo as Hiruzen's sounding board as he tries to navigate who to model his leadership after - warmhearted Hashirama, or pragmatic Tobirama?
