The partial belief thing doesn't sound stupid. It's actually what I came up with when I was trying to figure out how he could touch her. I like this chapter and the way you introduced Jack. One complaint though, (this is more for the story so far as a whole than this chapter) I'm not as interested in Evie's band or high school drama as I am with her relationship with the kids and Jack. And Frankie is pretty annoying. So unless it leads somewhere I would suggest trimming those parts a bit.

This is an absolutely amazing story. I have cried like three times and I can't even comprehend this story ending without an ending. It is incredible and riveting and heart wrenching and I truly hope you haven't given up on it. Even if you have though, you really are an amazing writer and I know you will go far.

I had to laugh a few times, especially at the Candy Mountain cameo a few chapters back- that was ingenious! I hope your exams went well and that you had a great summer vacation.
