Gahhhh, I can't even begin to describe how wonderful your writing is. It reads so smooth. The pacing is outstanding, and the dialogue is so natural. When I'm reading - it plays in my head as though I'm watching it on screen. I can hear their voices in my head.

I have to actually force myself to slow down as much as possible. But I'm almost too excited to read the next sentence. Lol. I am such a fan of your work. Keep being wonderful! And praying for you and your loved ones' health and peace during these crazy times.

Wow what a great insight into their relationship before the invasion. Thank you for the new chapter I keep looking for new Shayera and John stories to read but I’ve read them all wished more writers like you would write new stories. Shayera is my absolute favorite female character!

this chapter update made me super happy in these days of quarantine...thank you for brightening up my day! also, loved the fic. I always pictured Shayera permanently living in the watchtower during the JL days...but this was a nice different point of view of her living in Midway with a penthouse. I got a huge giggle out of all the banter between the two love birds. I also enjoyed having John peer into Shayera’s more vulnerable side with her talking about her native world and her wants of marriage/kids. Well done! I loved it.

I really like your take on the Lords universe with Flash's death and that is what brought John and Shayera together. I always headcanoned that they were together for a short amount of time before his death.

I would love a part two of this because even though we only saw two parts of the JLords, their impact was huge in the JL/JLU and I think that they gave us a lot of material without downright spelling it out. Plus, I feel like there is so much unwritten stories that can be told with them since we only know a small amount, we could do anything XD.

i can so picture this happening on thanagar and does it surprise me that not only does shayera loves this AND is really good at it? nope! it makes me chuckle that she thinks earth trust exercises are lame. i loved this and the camaraderie between them is super fun, playful, and cute.

i have a younger brother and reading this is such a flashback. one moment we would almost be killing eachother and the next we would be hanging out like nothing happened. good job writing siblings!

i know we really don't know anything about rex, i think you do a great job and i love ow you write him. his thoughts that he has in his head, his mannerisms, all of it!

i have always wondered the timeframe between wildcards to starcrossed? how long do you think it was? this can be tricky because comfort and joy was produced before WC but aired after...my theory is WC-C&J-SC. i am not too familiar with the type of weather las vegas gets during the winter, but in my head WC takes place about october/november, comfort & joy is in december, and starcrossed is in april/may (i do know washington dc has a decently long winter and since there was no snow it must be early spring?

but this was super cute! i loved the little moment of john questioning how slow they are /actually/ gonna go since their feelings already went at a snails pace XD

the lords universe raises so many questions for me. 1) did the thanagarian invasion happen and if yes how did it go? if no how did shayera end up on earth? 2) it was quite obv john and shayera were a thing in the lord universe...how long were they together? did the other team members know? (kind of bounces off my earlier Q..is hro in the picture?) 3)whats the time frame of the death of wally and when we get introduced to the lords?

anyway...i love the little surprise you teases about in the note and honestly i could see this happen in our universe as well.

john teasing about wanting "pancakes" was super funny and shayera's reaction was even better. i adored the ending with john putting flour all over her face, super cute!

i feel like this is the perfect way to symbolize their relationship. john underestimating shay (reflects how close they got over the years to how she slowly let her guard down) to shayera winning despite the "odds" (shayera still loving john despite hro/starcrossed) LOVED IT! also, we know shayera is phenomenal at chess so did john ever have a chance? XD
