Aaymeriah chapter 25 . 10/12/2018 A wonderful story. You have a gift for writing. The characters were in character, the complaints were funny and ever so true, I thoroughly enjoyed it. |
Guest chapter 6 . 7/22/2018 Really? |
Guest chapter 1 . 7/22/2018 Honestly, Sherlock’s like a dang stereotypical cat xD |
Pockets chapter 25 . 9/15/2017 Hello, I just discovered Sherlock (yes, yes, late to the party) and this is one of the first fish I've read. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to create it. I like how you write both Sherlock and John, and can see these scenarios as an episode. |
Guest chapter 25 . 7/26/2017 this was just like. an episode, in written form. ...amazing. |
JolieBlack chapter 25 . 6/21/2017 Aww... and a beautiful bromantic ending. I did notice that John's peeves seemed to progressively bother him less and less over the course of the story. So I love his summary. And the case is satisfactorily resolved, too. All in all, this is an amazingly good story. Clever, funny, *witty*, heartwarming, spot-on IC for everyone, great John voice... anything this happy reader could wish for. I'm especially in awe of how you managed to construct a logical casefic and at the same time stuck to your chosen 241 format. I'd have struggled with either or, and never have dared to combine both! Anyway - in case you're still around, may I ask for your permission to include this gem of a story in a community we've made here on the site, BBC Sherlock for Canon Addicts? We aim to collect the very best of canon-compliant Sherlock fanfic there is to be had on this archive. Please take a look. community/BBC-Sherlock-for-Canon-Addicts/118398/ We (the mods) would be very happy to include this story in it. :) And if anything else on your works list might fit our community's bill, please feel free to point me towards it! |
JolieBlack chapter 22 . 6/21/2017 "It's possibly the most bizarre collection of people ever to be seen in the same room with one another – and second only to adding James Moriarty to the mix – probably also the most likely to take over the world if they put their minds to it." I love it. Especially the fact that that includes Lestrade. Neither of the Holmes brothers would admit it, but I'm very sure they're well aware of it all the same. |
JolieBlack chapter 17 . 6/21/2017 "Sherlock's going to arrange everything back so precisely that even his own brother would have difficulty noticing the difference." Well said. I love that line. "Well it's certainly not me fantasising about Mycroft being some kind of overweight wraith." I love that line, too. (I love Mycroft, too, obviously.) And I'd like to contest vociferously that John *hates* their habit of inappropriate joking. He's totally guilty of it himself and he loves it. |
JolieBlack chapter 16 . 6/21/2017 I'm also in awe of your vivid descriptions - Sherlock's face in the dark, that's just so visual. And beautiful. |
JolieBlack chapter 15 . 6/21/2017 "Yes, John muses, 'simpers' was definitely the correct adjective." It's a verb, John. (I'm sure "being a grammar Nazi" is on his list of 24 things already, too. ;)) "Does Moriarty in fact have thirteen wives, whose sole mission is to confuse the hell out of Sherlock and John?" I love how in the context of this story, it looks like a real possibility! I also like how John's started to make real, valuable contributions to the investigation. |
JolieBlack chapter 14 . 6/21/2017 Ah, clever clever clever. Coming from a real casefic buff, this is the highest compliment I can offer! |
JolieBlack chapter 11 . 6/21/2017 "If I'd said that, you'd have shouted at me." I like how your exploration of their relationship really goes both ways, and doesn't just stop at "John is rightfully annoyed with Sherlock". Argh! I want to know what Sherlock thinks is going on! But if John had asked at this point, Sherlock would probably just have informed him that John's too tired right now to process the information accurately and within reasonable time, right? |
JolieBlack chapter 10 . 6/21/2017 "Could be dangerous. SH." Nice try, Sherlock. :D |
JolieBlack chapter 9 . 6/21/2017 The plot thickens... I'm trying and failing to get my head around it. Are these lovely ladies killing their pets with those cobras on purpose or by accident? Or are they killing *each other* and just testing the poison out on the animals first? |
JolieBlack chapter 6 . 6/21/2017 "John," Sherlock says. "I think we should join the Women's Institute." That line made the entire chapter. Oh the mental images! P. S. WAS Sherlock feigning sleep in chapter 5? |
