Of course anything with Merry and Pippin in it makes them happy... well, hopefully the good things in life and good to well-written works. Then again, could mean a number of things.

Seems here's another item-dropping story, as the first parody I wrote two years ago did the same. However, Merry and Pippin acted just the same as they do here. Whether or not they are out-of-character remains in question, but they seems very much in-character in this chapter, which only made the scene more humorous. I don't know why, but I was reminded of Merry and Pippin being inside Fangorn Forest due to this scene... different scenarios of course.

Good work, though. Hopefully, the rest of the chapters are just as good as this one.

*Cue flashback-like music and ripple stuff*

Frodo looked at the strange ball in his hands curiously, Sam, Merry, and Pippin peering over his shoulders. "Do you think," said Pippin lowly, careful not to disturb the others. "if we ask it something, it will respond?" Frodo shrugged. "Ask it if you'll get to Mount Doom, Mister Frodo!" Volunteered Sam in his excitable, Sam-like manner. "Will I get to Mount Doom?" Nothing happened. Merry took it and started shaking it. "Answer, you strange ball!" "Look, Merry!" They all looked.
