AND Mrs. Hudson, They're trying to be festive, but also know that whatever this is is gonna be annoying the bloody hell out of Sherlock... If it is now an enemy (I can't picture Moriarty doing this, even to just get under S.H's skin) If it is not an original character...I can see Lastrade (to 'get him into the spirit), Donavan (Just to tick S.H. off), Mycroft ( Not really seeing that, but a possibility nonetheless if he's trying to get his younger brother into the festivities), or John himself as a way to get Sherlock interested in the Christmas holiday...
