I understand the lost motivation thing.
I’m actually in the process of writing three fanfictions at the moment but I never bothered to publish a single one because I kept loosing motivation.
I’m in love with this story and I’m really interested in where it will go and what happened to separate Jack and Pitch, however it seems like you aren’t answering questions like you initially said you would. No chapters have been posted since that author’s note.
Since you have no intention of finishing, could you maybe let someone else continue the story for you? You could maybe give them a brief outline, or let them have their own interpretation of it. It would give the readers some closure.
Anyways, I’m sorry about your lost motivation and kidney stone (those things are really fricking painful). You’re writing was great, and I especially loved your depiction of Jack. It wasn’t like many of the other one’s I’ve read, and I really really liked it. It felt more like him than the others I read, especially when he’s new to being Jack Frost. I loved it so much.

This story is a great one, however seeing as you have to intention to finish it, maybe consider letting someone adopt it from you. It may be written on par with your own writing, and it may not turn out exactly how you planned it to. But then at least the readers might have a finished story to read and enjoy.

I only just found this fic and I totally agree with Lunarmercury.
It is beautifully written - to bad you don't continue with it (but I guess I can understand your point).

You said we readers could ask questions. So... questions:
-What caused Jack and Pitch's separation?
-What is Pitch's ultimate plan?
-Will Jack ever find out, that they are actually brothers?
-How will the Guardians react to that 'little' fact?
-How did you intend for the fic to end?

So I realize it has been almost two years since this author's note (almost three since you updated this fic), but I was wondering if the "answering questions" offer was still valid? If so, I'd be really interested to know... all the answers you've given to people's questions, honestly, but especially: what happened to drive Pitch and Jack apart; how the Guardians find out Pitch and Jack are brothers (how *Jack* finds out Pitch and Jack are brothers, as well) and how they react; what Pitch was planning and how the fic was going to end.
If you are just too far past this fic - totally understandable if so - I wanted to still send you this review because I think I bookmarked this fic when you were still updating, and I wanted to let you know that I really love it and still come back to read it. I think you did a great job balancing keeping the characters familiar and factoring in how the different circumstances affected them; your portrayal of Pitch and Jack and their sister's family interactions were so poignant, your writing is super enjoyable to read... it is really a great story. I hope everything is going well with med school and your health, and thank you for giving us three wonderful chapters!

Since it's been more than a year I don't know if you still do this but I'd really like to know if and how Jack and the Guardians find out that Jack and Pitch are brothers :)

And they stood together for 700 years, and since this Pitch Black was created by Manny, that makes Manny the bad guy.

Okay, is Jack is over a thousand years old, that means he is older that most sopirits save Manny, Sandy and the Man in the Moon. And Manny picked him now?
