Hetc chapter 1 . 2/16/2019 Lovely amusing story. All the characters are beautifully described and wonderfully in character. Thank you. |
maritinkerbell chapter 1 . 1/30/2019 I love this! CoS was my favorite Harry Potter book as a kid (later replaced by PoA and OoTP), particularly because Lockhart was such a delightfully horrible character. He's also an excellent foil for Snape. It was really fun to read your take on Snape's POV of this book! I've added you to author alert and I'd love to read more stories from you! |
NightHerald chapter 1 . 1/22/2018 I really liked this. Kudos! |
Machaon's Apprentice chapter 1 . 6/21/2016 A very interesting take on that year ! |
myrto.star.1 chapter 1 . 6/20/2016 Neat! |
Halle Alexis chapter 1 . 7/5/2015 I really enjoyed this and Snape's characterization here felt spot-on. |
excessivelyperky chapter 1 . 5/6/2015 Dumbledore really doesn't like it when Snape argues with him. He especially doesn't like it when Snape is right. But that's ok-he's learned how not to listen over the years. Fortunately, we have. |
Watchwoman chapter 1 . 1/4/2015 Fabulous, as usual. Thank you for the enjoyable read. |
jensteed chapter 1 . 8/8/2014 This story was hilarious, and Lucius was just gas, "I don't want your left testicle." Severus and Minerva were just as funny talking throughout the year. It was great story, thank you :D |
RavenEcho chapter 1 . 5/7/2014 Enjoyed it! |
sdjahfjashgjkaekjhyuwjgkfnasjk chapter 1 . 4/14/2014 Hey, Loten! I really enjoyed this fanfic. I think it is a nice complement to The Chamber of Secrets. I like how... not-nice your Dumbledore is. I think you portrait him very accurately. Also, I like your Snape a lot! He's mean and sarcastic and utterly adorable in his own, mean way. :) Thanks for sharing! |
SnarkyG chapter 1 . 12/21/2013 I hoped You'll write sth about Hermione's letter to Severus too. But I like Your story ;) |
BarbaraKaterina chapter 1 . 10/13/2013 I've read this ages ago, but I've finally made myself write you a review. I especially liked the Minerva-Severus relationship here, it's probably the best of all of your stories. I mean I really like Minerva, so it always seemed to me like you were being too hard to her, but she's great here. Severus-Lockhart interactions are also excellent, especially the one where Lockhart offers to help with the restorative draught. The jab about Lockhart taking so much time to understand his job description was great too. Overly, I think it's my favourite non-smut one-shot of yours. :) Pity about Edicius, but I can certainly see what you mean with repeating yourself, it happens to me sometimes too. Do you know which plot bunny are you going to pick? I'm intrigued about some of them, but I have to admit that the one I'm looking forward to the most is probably Untitled nr. 1 - I really want you to write that, to get that inside look on Severus being headmaster. I was thinking about a Severus-themed prompt I could come up with, but the only thing that comes to mind is that I really like the idea of you writing Severus sort of relating to Hermione non-romantically while she was still at school. The idea is something like him coming across her during the winter break in her 6th year as she is working in the library and realizing that she's not working on stuff for school, that she's researching things for war - preparing all the things she has prepared at the beginning of book 7. And, you know, realizing that she takes it completely seriously, contrary to the boys, and perhaps even helping her in some way. However, I'm aware that it's not really winder-themed at all, so I'm not getting my hopes up. :) |
StormDragonfly chapter 1 . 10/4/2013 :) I love how your well-developed head canon makes this connect to more than one of your stories, Chasing the Sun, obviously, but PTL, too. And even Silence. "What fresh Hell is this"—I just clapped my hands and said yay! I may even have bounced in my seat. I've been *waiting* to read Severus saying this line, and you did it! I am so pleased. I was wondering for a bit there whether you'd put in Hermione's thank-you note. Considering it wasn't actually part of the Chamber of Secrets book. I remember thinking when that bit came up in Chasing the Sun that, definitely not deliberately on his part, Severus had saved more than one thing connected to Hermione Granger, and how clever that was to be put in so subtly. Sadly, though, i can't remember what hte other thing was. I don't think it was the poem, because you gave the impression that Severus went looking for the poem for her brithday, rather than already had it on hand. Or did he already have it on hand? Anyway... Another Loten piece read. Check. :) |
denice chapter 1 . 8/28/2013 from Czech translation: Perfektní, miluji tento příběh. Miluji, když Severus se všemi zametá. Už méně miluji, když Brumbál zametá s ním, ale to patří k věci. Moc děkuji. |
