how did I miss this after Ripley's story I don't know, but again I found it just when I needed it.

I like that your characterizations seem to fit and the glimpse into their movie thoughts
has brought out new movie aspects for me.

if you want to do more world building around this couple I would be interested in reading it.

...that's...all i have to say. I can't do it any further justice without making up words. Thanks for writing it. I tell you what...you caught Michael Biehn's (sp?) characterizations (that doesn't look right either) of Hicks perfectly. I didn't actually have to read the first story because if you could latch onto his Hicks, this flowed like water. Fantastic!

So I just read all three stories straight through (insomnia? I have no idea what you mean) and I loved all three of them. Aliens is actually the only movie I like out of the series, and like many other fans of Hicks, Newt, and Bishop, I have decided that Alien 3 & 4 don't exist. I'm also a major sucker fluffy fanfics, so long as they're well written and respect the rules of that particular world, which you have done extremely well. These three are favorite bound. Well Done.

Ahem yes. I. LOVE. THIS. Hands down, flat out, absolutely, without a doubt at all period. This is the Ripley/Hicks kind of thing that I NEEDED lately. You are an extremely talented author, and especially in the Aliens fandom- catching Hicks personality spot on. At least that's what I think, but anyone who doesn't think so is inferior. XD

The flashbacks were all great. For some particular reason I think my favorite one is their first encounter. It has one of everything, the emotions, the feelings, all of Hicks's actions are just great. And I love love LOVE the mentions of Vasquez/Drake. You have no idea how loud I literally squealed in utter joy- that is my OTP.

And the somewhat almost was Dietrich/Hudson. I... you are a genius. I never ever thought of those two together. Nope. But now that you've written it and now that I've took the time to think about it- Ima ship it. That's right- SS Dietirch/Hudson set sail- full speed ahead- slamming onto icebergs head on like a boss! AND I WILL GO DOWN WITH THIS SHIP.

Oops. Got off track. XD. Anyways, I adored the ending as well. Vdkha?! Well well well. And you know, it's really hard for me to imagine an eighteen year old Newt, although now that I try, I suppose one similar physical description would be her looking like Daenerys from Game of Thrones, but that's just me. :/ I just love this. The happy ending that should be of Ripley and Hicks together, adopting Newt, and just an all round perfect family.

Alien 3 can go out the f*cking window and be banished out to space for all I care (always thought that anyways).

I sincerely hope you can continue writing more stuff for the Aliens fandom, we could sure as hell use an amazing R/H author like you. :3

Wonderfully done. Really was upset that they killed off Newt and Hicks from the movies. They could have done so much with those three. Love this story and the simplicity of it.
