I remember stumbling across this one shot in 2015. Coming back and reading this two years later, I'm still snotty and sobbing like a goddamn baby. Absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking. What hurts the most is the what could have been and what they should have had. But unfortunately, that's not what the universe had in plan and at the end of the day elena is a human and Damon is a vampire from 1864. My heart especially hurts for Damon. It's just a fic but I pray that wherever they end up and "see [each other] soon" that they'll finally get the forever that they deserve

Wow. This story is so... Wow. I'm not a fan of short stories but this... This was just so beautiful. The way you chose to use your words and put them together was just perfect. It was the sweetest thing ever yet the most heartbreaking at the same time. This story truly shows me that it doesn't take a lot of words to convey true emotion.

This story is so so beautiful I can't find words. It made me smile and cry at the same time because of its awesomeness. You're such a talented writer and I hope you will never stop writing for our most favourite TVD couple ever!
