Davis? LOL This was a great little read and certainly made me smile as I went through it. I love how you explained Kaidan getting away from the effects of the seeker swarms on Horizon using the hamster, I had always wondered about it. I can see Shepard looking for his beloved hamster as well. Enjoyed!

Oh my god.

So that was definitely not something I would ever have thought of, but it certainly does explain a lot of those "wait, what?" moments. Like how Kaidan inexplicably survived Horizon, and all the other related bits.

Also, the end. Nice touch there. Good surprise.

The space hamster: the unsung hero. I always knew there was a reason for having a space hamster in Shepard's quarters, and you've deciphered it so cunningly. I still have to figure out about the fish though ... maybe their purpose is to help Shepard accept that he/she just can't save them all? Anyway, the story was funny, cute, and original, though the image at the end of Shepard running to the beam alone was a little sad, so it's good the hamster's with him (secretly of course). He definitely deserves a badge of honour for getting Shepard so far, and you deserve a fave :)

Alright, now what do I have to say about this piece? Well an easier question is what don't I have to say!
I love the jumps in time. It felt like you were spanning the entire series across following one hampster and the adorable factor rose steadily with that narrative style. There was a deep bond between Shepard and the hampster, the line where he speaks to Tali is startlingly poignant and powerful and provided a great contrast to the humour in the story.
All character reaction and description was brilliant and though this was definitely a humours tale, I detected sincerity. More fiction should be a blend like this, not one or the other.
I also loved the ending and how Harbinger was brought in and David cleared up that... Ah *cough* plot hole *cough*. And the inclusion of the Men in Black reference was sly and humorous as a reasoning for this hampster's crazy skill of being in the right place at right time. Though the reference had basically no lead up, it was still used effectively due to the parodied earlier half.
Good work! I really enjoyed this one-shot and have been meaning to review it. Now I have and now you know I love it!

This is hilarious. Shepard's pet space hamster as a genuine MiB? This could only be cooler if you added a second chapter of the hamster teaching Will Smith the ropes.

The surprising thing is how half of this makes sense within the game.
And Davis' sapping of the Collector sounded suspiciously like a Battletech infantry-on-mech attack.

This was great! Oh man - probably one of the better written ME crack stories out there! Who knew that squeaky rodent in your cabin was capable of so much? I especially like how even Harbinger saw him as a threat so this line set me off, "This has gone on long enough, rodent. I will deal with you personally."
