I like this story. Daryl is such an amazing character and your words were easy to follow.

Great way to describe grief with the pot of boiling water. Then how you used it to compare with how Rick was reacting to it now.

This was absolutely captivating. I loved how you really let us see everything he's working so hard to hold in. This segment nearly broke my heart:

Omg. The whole thing- brilliant. That saying about grief, did you come up with that? Even if you didn't, you were so good to put it in this story and then say Rick was a potato. Just bloody brilliant. I enjoyed it so much, thank you.
