Reviews for I Am All Of Me
DreamNoMore chapter 1 . 3/1
I’ve read this fic twice now and I have to say, it’s one of THE best fanfictions I’ve ever read and re-reading it honestly brought tears to my eyes
GuardianDragon98 chapter 27 . 3/19/2019
Okay, this chapter left me feeling so many emotions. Especially when I found out that Sonic repressed his own memories and couldn't remember anything from the first ten years of his life.

As for Sonic blaming himself for Shadow's disappearance, that was so emotional. That's my headcanon for SA2.
GuardianDragon98 chapter 23 . 3/19/2019
I wonder what could have been the big secret regarding Sonic's past was... I wish Shadow had gotten to know.
ShadAmy1Fan - Shylah McVey chapter 33 . 8/7/2018
I stumbled upon this story and while I don’t usually read game adaptions, this was absolutely breathtaking. I laughed, I cried, I absolutely adored it. I’ve been inexplicably blessed in finding phenomenal writers recently and I’m so glad I stumbled upon you. I loved that you took from Tareana’s (I think that’s how you spell it) story. I have unofficially accepted that as Shadow’s backstory until I come up with my own, and to see you nod to her work like that was amazing! I know this review is a little late compared to when this was written, but I wanted to do it all the same because I thought this was a masterpiece that really helps put the whole game into perspective. It will be hard to write my own Shadow canon’s with this as a great explanation of what really happened P _

I’ll check out the rest of your stories later ) thanks for being awesome!
Guest chapter 20 . 6/22/2018
How could Shadow convince Tails to take everyone via spaceship so they can get to the ARK? Was it Shadow who came up with a plan with Tails?
Bryan Dacote chapter 33 . 10/3/2017
Well I just finished reading (Listening rather, since I use a couple programs to download and convert fanfictions into an audiobook using a synthesized voice) your Novelization of SA1, SA2 and now ShTH.

I enjoyed your novelization of SA1, and SA2 to a lesser extent - mostly since I could tell some of the dialogue was taken from Sonic X during the Last Story segment which rather irked me since I feel the SA2 dialouge did better at explaining the story than the 4Kids Sonic X dub. Honestly I wasn't too impressed due to the SA2 adaption and I was a bit wary when coming to this.
I skipped the Sonic Heroes adaption mostly I never cared for the game itself, however I will look at it afterwards. Either before or after I tackle your adaption(s) of Sonic 06.

I will say this; out of the 3 works of yours I have now finished: This is easily my favorite. Not just out of your works but now one of my favorite fanfictions - especially of a novelization of a game. Only beaten by FakeJake93's adaption of Majora's Mask and Mr. Light Chicken Bulb's comedic twists on Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess.

You did a great job at giving this mediocre game (which admittedly has been one of my favorite Sonic games of all time) the justice and outright fixes it needed. I liked aspects of the game's story and what it was trying to convey with it's themes on choice and deciding what kind of person you/Shadow are, despite the execution being totally flawed. Ironic that when looking back the main selling point of the game; the multiple pathways and endings was the game's story's biggest set back. I was honestly curious how you (or anyone else) was going to be able to handle the multiple endings, branching pathways, and the schizophrenic execution of the cutscenes and in-game dialogue. It was like a big puzzle, that I'm sure not many wanted to try to fix.
I loved how you used the other characters (Sonic and friends) as a means of giving the story a sense of pace and direction, while still giving Shadow the lead role. In the game the other characters just felt forced into the plot and levels. Just there for the sake of being there.

I loved your creative use of the dialogue from the cutscenes and the levels. I recognized most of the in-level dialogue but it didn't feel like you forced them in. I downright loved the character arcs you had going - especially Sonic's. My heart really went out to him since you had him also suffering from amnesia, but not totally being out of his character. Hell, in a way you made Sonic a more deeper character than Shadow at times which has ALWAYS been the reverse.

As I said; I skipped your Sonic Heroes adaption (which ironically mirrors what happened for me with the games. I went from SA2 to Shadow, only being aware of Heroes's existence) but this made me interested in going and giving it a read.

I hope you do more Sonic novelizations. Heck, maybe of one of the older titles like the classic games, or Sonic Generations (that one could use a good story overhaul due to how bare the story was) or maybe the upcoming Sonic Forces.

I never thought that Sonic and Shadow could be so mad with each other. Whatever happened to them while there arguing with each other?
WatermelonShark chapter 33 . 7/30/2017
Once again, you've outdone yourself, you've managed to piece together all FIVE story paths into one
coherent plot.
My only disappointment is that the Shadow Rifle wasn't used on Devil Doom.
Otherwise, fantastic story, now I'll Never Turn Back.
jesselford chapter 8 . 10/24/2016
so sonic did undestamated shadow did he?
nalathequeen2186 chapter 33 . 7/25/2016
I just spent almost the entire day reading this story from start to finish, and I am floored. This is quite frankly one of the best fanfictions I have ever read in my LIFE. I started reading this wondering idly how someone would have turned a game like Shadow the Hedgehog, with its odd branching storylines, into a coherent plot. I figured I'd read a little bit to see what it was like, and then finish it in small amounts if it was good... but it turned out to be SO AMAZINGLY GOOD that I spent almost a full twelve hours reading the whole thing, barely stopping to eat. The characterizations were amazing! All the added detail was perfect, filling in so many questions about the game's plot. I was right there, feeling all the confusion and turmoil along with Shadow. The pacing was phenomenal, and the rise and fall of emotions was absolutely perfect. The moment when Rouge said "I think this is the day you've finally returned to me" hit me so hard - their friendship is so important to me, and that line is now, in my mind, on par with her "Know that I'll always remain by your side" line from '06. And that final big flashback to the first moments in Shadow's life! I have never seen anyone nail that so perfectly! You even turned the ending of the game - which I was disappointed by when I first played it - into something amazing, Shadow moving on in his life rather than throwing his past away. Not ashamed to admit the final few chapters legitimately made me cry.

I'm definitely going to be checking out the other stories you've written, because I can't remember the last time I was so genuinely moved by a story I've read. This is inspiring me to start writing again...
MarshallSkye450 chapter 1 . 8/30/2015
I loved the way this chapter was written.

I couldn't tear away until I was done.

Awesome Job! I couldn't have done better!

(ps SHTH is my favorite gamecube game)
P.T. Piranha chapter 24 . 5/15/2015
I did some research, Vector gave Shadow the "don't go there ... yet" speech that I believe was from one of the endings. An example of you rearranging events to suit the story, I presume?

Anyway I'm not entirely familiar with the Chaotix other than basic notes on them. They were fun characters in this chapter.
P.T. Piranha chapter 23 . 5/13/2015
"You get to help me FIND THE COMPUTER ROOM"
And there it is. I knew that'd come into play sooner or later.

I still sometimes try to read Shadow's lines out loud, so when I got to the part about "shipping an echidna and a bat", that tripped me up and I laughed out loud.

But anyway it's like I said before, I like how such a dark and gloomy story is taking a turn for the optimistic. There are about 10 chapters left, so a lot can still happen, so I'm curious to see how it'll play out.
P.T. Piranha chapter 20 . 5/7/2015
That was a nice, fuzzy chapter of the two characters. Like I said in the other review, you're actually turning this camp, goofy gritty edgy action story into something a bit more meaningful.

Now I'm trying to imagine if you DIDN'T sequence break. Shadow being all like "oops, forgot something in space, we gotta go back".
P.T. Piranha chapter 19 . 5/6/2015
"This isn't some double dash, Sonic."
"So this is how I'm meant to die."

I gotta say, this story has a lot more humor to it than the 06 trilogy, not that I mind. I guess with a game as camp as Shadow the Hedgehog, it comes with the territory.

And despite it all, some actual emotional bits near the end. I have a feeling the game never bothered getting this emotional save for maybe some of the endings. If that's the case, good job giving this story some more gravity.
