Yes, the second chapter IS very similar to the first when it comes to dialogue, but I think it was very interesting to see the story from Descole's point of view.

Ah. The second chapter was even better, I think. I don't have a soild idea of who Descole is to Layton because I won't get the 5th game until Christmas but this story has given him a personality in my mind. I hope that he turns out to be a more... cunning villian than Don Palo. Clive was awesom, Don Paulo just sort of fell flat with me.

It's cool how the dialogue and actions from the first chapter fit so perfectly togethor. Was that hard to work out or where you orginally thinking about the story from Descole's perspecive as much as Clive's?

I'm writing I saw that you published a one-shot for the 5th game. I won't get it until Chirstmas, so I'll have to wait to read that one. Phooey! I just published the first chapter of a story I've been working on for a couple months now. It's bascially Clive's journal that holds all his entries during the time he was impersonating Luke. I tried to make my version of Clive different from all the versions of Clive I've read on this site while still keeping him in character. Kudos to you for having an awesom Clive!

Wow, this amazing! And so much detail... considering its only a oneshot. You wrote Clive well and I was really surprised when Descle just gave himself up to Layton at the end. But something seemed right about it- Layton IS the one who Clive would depend on. He IS the only one who would apprehend Descole. And he IS the one who always comes to help. Truer words have never been written!
