It started out great! But I had to stop reading. The author's notes were too jarring. I sussed out her costume straight away, and didn't need the note to ask me if I'd figured it out. Then just as the story started again,...another author's note.

Let me ask you, have you read the Harry Potter books? How would you feel if every other paragraph or so, JK Rowling had an author's note? Wouldn't that just take you right out of the story you were wanting to read?

Author's notes are best left to the end. Let us just read what you've written in the future. It did start out well, so I'm sure it was a good story. I like just reading the story though, without interruptions.
