Don't mark a story as "completed" if you don't ever plan on completing it. If you wanted to stop, you could've just made one final chapter instead of being that guy that pisses people off by quitting a story on a cliffhanger.

Why dont you have that danny escapes after putting up a huge fight but is badly injured. Vlad and skulker then think that keeping someone he loves hostage would lure him out so they wait for a week or two and kidnap dash. Vlad had a few experiments he wanted to try out on a mortal anyway so he experiments on dash leaving him to the brink of death. Danny then comes and saves dash.
