Jay Rowan chapter 8 . 6/16/2015 Go hug a sticky bomb sounds about right! Aw, I just love these fics where both BLU and RED Medics help each other. They are Medics after all, it's in their nature! Thank you tons for writing this awesome story, you were spot-on with the mannerisms of our favorite mercs and I thank you for writing something I enjoyed reading. And for finishing it. You're the best and you deserve several medals! |
SeventhSaixWolf chapter 8 . 8/17/2013 I really enjoyed reading this! I liked especially when you describe how worried Heavy was about Medic. It's cute! Thank God neither Medic died! |
Wollhandkrabbe chapter 8 . 2/22/2013 "No harm, it seemed, had come to the doctor's disposition. No harm done at all." And this, this made me laugh out loud. Nice refence to the title. A satisfying finale. Good work giving the RED Medic and the BLU Medic distinct personalities, and coming up with a way to have a plot where the Medic falls ill without respawn and medi gun solving the problem in 2 seconds. As for the medical details: IMO either keep it vague and gloss over it, or wiki some procedures and add in more detail, depending on how much you want the medical emergency and BLU Medic's work to be the focus of those chapters. As it is, I felt pity for the poor RED Medic as apparently the other mercs don't even know how to care for someone in a fever delirium. (They's never been ill as a child? The Engineer has a daughter, she's never had a fever?) I mean, give him a wet calf wrap and a cushion at least. Something. One big advantage of the medigun is that there's no need for elaborate post-OP, as the wound has already healed. but blood poisoning and gangrene are nasty things. This story semi-addresses (or at least mentions) something I've often wondered about myself: Who cleans up all those bases the mercs are housed at? Judging from how run-down the bases look in the game, at least on the outside, who maintains the machinery and installations? Is there a laundry service, or do the mercs have to do the laundry and dishes themselves, put out the trash, unclog the toilets and scrub the floors after a long exhausting day of shooting each other? As for the Medic's hospital (seen only in the Meet the Medic video) and the smaller medibays most fanfic writers assume the bases must have... yeah, who cleans up there? The poor Medic? They're being transfered from one base to another, so they often don't spend a lot of time at each base, except for maybe Teufort. If Mann Co. delivers goods food, new uniforms and new weapons to the bases on a regular basis, is there a civilian laundry service, too, who are not allowed to talk to the mercs? Or a clean-up crew that comes in after the mercs have left and repairs everything that has been blown to smithereens? If not, the bases must be like one giant batchelor apartment shared by nine men (or seven grown men, a loud-mouthed tween and a Pyro), all of them heavily armed and some of them mentally unstable. We've already seen how messy Soldier's private apartment is, how Merasmus complained about having the Soldier as a roommate. Now imagine trying to get the bloodstains out of all their clothes on laundry day... easier to just burn it all and order new uniforms, I guess. Maybe Engineer built a few robots that clean the floors. Otherwise, you'd need an army of service personnel. I'm spending far too much time overthinking this, aren't I? ;-) |

Renascence-A chapter 8 . 2/17/2013 End. |
Inactive 191015 chapter 8 . 2/16/2013 Wait, what. WHAT. You, you, WHAT. You can't just end this there! That's just... NO! This is too good to end at chapter EIGHT! I mean, NO! We need a full explanation of when Engi shot the Medic and the Engineers panic and MORE of how the RED Medic, Heavy and Spy acted and I mean surely the BLU Spy being a Spy would notice SOMETHING or other... *Stops ranting and takes a deep breath from the sheer aura of awesomeness that was your fanfiction* Sequel? :3 |

Renascence-A chapter 7 . 2/5/2013 DUMBASS |
Wollhandkrabbe chapter 6 . 1/27/2013 Now I am intrigued where things are going from here. "To think...they'd be trying to kill each other next they met." The tragedy of the TF2 universe in a nutshell. I could nitpick some of the medical details, or how the BLU team seems unable to care for someone with a fever, but I'll leave that to the next review. Overall, the story is fluently written, and it hits some interesting points with the Heavy/Medic relationship. |
Teh Doctor chapter 6 . 1/17/2013 LAWL |
Jinny the Kisaragi chapter 6 . 1/17/2013 I absolutely love your writing style! It's easy and enjoyable to read, and I love the story as well! But what will happen once Medic gets back, hmm? Surely the BLUs have noticed by now. Looking forward to more! -Jinny |
