This was just pure poetry. The adjectives used, the descriptions, all came together in a way that really illustrates what Loki's fall did to the people around him - how much he was so much a part of their lives, even if he never realized it. And the sense of betrayal that Sif feels was very much in-character. My favourite lines are "Who do gods pray to? Who do gods beg for salvation?" I love the metaphors and the parts about the stars, they were just beautiful and achingly bittersweet. The description of Loki at the end was just perfect, and the build-up of Sif's understanding of her feelings towards him was very realistic. This was a wonderful read. I applaud you.

Why, why, why are you so good at this? I swear to god, my heart can't take it anymore. lol, but seriously, your writing is pure poetry, it really is.

What I'm always so astounded by with what you do, actually, is how you're able to fit so much emotional depth into stories that are really the length of vignettes. But because you have such an incredible grasp and profound understanding of these characters, you're able to capture and convey truth in every piece you write, and so it doesn't have to be long, because you boil it right down to the essence of these characters, to their feelings and thoughts, etc...

I know I'm beginning to sound like a broken record here, haha, but seriously, this was just so beautiful and so sad. The scene I found particularly poignant was when Thor wakes Sif up in the middle of the night to watch the death of the star. What I really love about this scene too is how you give the reader, just from Thor's dialog, such a broad glimpse into Loki's own genius, by showing us he's worked out the exact moment when a star will be born and when it will die, and where you can see it from. And then of course Sif's observation of Thor, how he isn't able to watch it happen, how he can't bear to see the loss as he watched himself lose Loki. I thought what also came through here supremely well was Thor's admiration and awe of Loki's genius. You can hear the reverence in his voice when he's explaining to Sif how he worked it out by going through Loki's books, and what makes it just all the more tragic is that Loki never knew, or never saw that reverence for his gifts. He never felt it, even though it was there. So, so sad.

I think Sif's anger too is really realistic, this sense of betrayal she has, feeling as though Loki really gave up on THEM, and it's normal to feel anger at someone for dying, to feel resentful that they would leave you in all of this pain.

And the ending paragraphs were just incredibly, hauntingly beautiful, when Sif is reflecting on Loki's beauty, and you get this sense that it's an untouchable beauty, something distant and unreachable, and so inexplicable, like Loki himself in many ways. And the way you draw it back to he and Sif watching the birth of the very stars Sif and Thor watched die, my God, was that just incredibly powerful and so horribly bittersweet.

Seriously, again, I don't know how you do this, but you're just an amazing, amazing writer. And you get these characters so, so well, it just kills me. I don't even know what to say anymore except to keep thanking you for writing for this fandom.

This is the first 'aftermath' of Loki's fall that I've ever read. It was beautiful. It made me cry.
