Great story.

Okay, I was really p'd that Ed was kind of a jerk. But then it evened out and I liked this story. A bit more touchy-feely than I think of Ed since he takes after my father in oh so many ways, but a very solid and enjoyable story. Thanks, even if it is two plus years late. :)

Just read this oneshot as well, it was just as good as the other ) I think that you could work on showing a little more than telling at the beginning, but by the end you were really into things and I thought it was great, so that's just me being nit-picky! Love the oneshot and I cant wait to read more from you!

I liked this. Yeah, Ed was hardnosed but he always has been when it comes to the job. I think you did a good job creating and then easing the tension between him and Sam. Good job.

Great short! And I don't think anyone was out of character...Ed is a pain in the butt to everyone, but that's just him. Poor Sam having to deal with killing his friend, trying to fit into SRU and then having rumors spread about him sure didn't help.

Really nice job with this. You do make Ed out as a bit of a hard-ass but he comes around in the end and I think you picked up on a really key issue for Sam in the beginning. He didn't feel like he belonged on the team, didn't feel welcome, and especially had trouble convincing Ed to trust him. You really pull out all these issues and do a good job with it.

I've probably gone back and read that scene in the locker room where Sam has trouble breathing three times today. I don't know what it is, I guess a combination of Sam being so stubborn and Ed just trying to apologize but not able to get a word in and I just love how you portray it. Didn't see it coming even though you dropped hints about his chest hurting and I love the whole thing with Sam being confused about Ed caring and Ed feeling so guilty. Great work, hope to see more from you soon!
