Loved it! The last scene, especially.
As a huge bookworm, I can easilly imagine reading something "weird", which would be a modern term for "improper", I guess, and Isobel doing it simply because Violet disapproved is so like her :D
But, anyway, I totally adore your stories and your writing. And making me like Isobel/Richard ship!

Loved this. Loved that it was random, loved that it was short pieces, loved the Richard Isobel leanings. Especially loved how you worked the scarlet Letter in. X

I think you have the chemistry between Isobel and Richard just right, in both scenes you've included.

The conversation with Sybil is very in character and highly appropriate. I do like to think that the two of them had a chance to trade ideas.

However, as far as Isobel HIDING what she's reading, that doesn't seem quite in character. She is nothing if not a straightforward, confident, assertive woman.
