Cute! I actually had this one figured out to be him telling a story. Wasn't certain it wouldn't be Kate, but a child made more sense. Nice job!

Adjusting the old bow slung over her shoulder, Princess Katherine slips deeper into the woods, finding her way along the familiar path where she always finds comfort when the narrow-mindedness of her world closes in on her, choking her, trying to drown her spirit in constraints and rituals and outdated morals. - I KNOW WHERE THIS IS GOING AND I CANNOT HANDLE SUCH MAGICAL THINGS. Also, it reminds me of Once Upon A Time, but not ridiculous like that show. But no, ah. Love.

She smells it first, the acrid stench of burning wood before she sees the flames from a bonfire dancing gaily into the midnight blue sky. - I love this description. So lovely.

He yelps and she runs after them, feeling bad for having surprised him and when they've collected them all, she hands her stack over to him sheepishly. - This reminds me of a moment in Love Actually. I'm not sure why things are reminding me of things tonight but I love it. (LUCKIEST KID EVER, JUST SAYING.)

He looks into her eyes and they are the bluest things she's ever seen, more startling than the sunniest summer sky, and an unfamiliar warmth rushes through her blood. - I love these details. How they're a little exaggerated because because it's a story being delivered to a child, because it's imaginative and wonderful and so right.

He writes her poems and the words wrap around her, lull her into worlds far away, make her dream of things she never dared to have. - Okay I cannot tell you how much I love this line. It's magical. That's really the only word for it.

the bizarre sparks of colored lights she has once seen explode at the village festival, those they call fireworks. - Love the old timey wording.

I just want you." - I LOVE how you used this here. That is so freaking awesome.

"Let me take you somewhere, Katherine, somewhere safe." - NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU'RE DOING IT AGAIN. IT'S TOO MUCH.

she admonishes in her chirpy voice, pushing the hair off her forehead with her small pudgy hand, a gesture so much like her mother that his heart leaps. - WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME?

Ugh I love it. I love that they have a daughter. I can't. Nope. Ugh. This is as coherent as I am getting. Just. Yeah. Child.

Big, giant ball of awwwwww.. And Lol! Their little girl is such a Beckett. :D No confwict. Dawww. And she's watching from the door. Being there, but letting him do his thing. *sigh* They're gonna be so great - they already are.

SO good :-) Prince David Josherson... bwahaha! Caskett baby critiquing his story was brilliant - little did she know how much conflict there really was in the real version!
