really nice use of the differences in color. the beginning was really poetic. and the end. that one liner is killer. my heart has been flayed. also noted how you used flowers roses, forget-me-not's, daisies, that was a really great touch to match up with the idea of colors. i'm not sure how quickly ling may have straightened out the differences between clans, but i do like how the siblings remind mei and it kind of destroys her, makes her feel awful because she realizes the weight of her responsibilities, which may no longer lay with the emperor, but no doubt are influenced by her family still.

Your Al/Mei one shots are so good and so sad! I want them to work out in these! Well written!
