So I guess I should stick in to encouraging others to write, as it seems I'm pretty good at it :) But honestly, this story gives me some funny feeling - in this strange way I'm very proud of it, almost like I wrote it myself! I was so happy to see that you posted it!
It's a really nice piece. I think that you captured Jo and Mac's friendship perfectly. And it's actually something I could see in the show. I could see Jo being so persistent at helping him, even for the price of losing her job! (BTW, I have to say I kinda like Mac with the bossy mode on - even in moments like that) And the way Mac told her about his health condition - that was so much in character, if they going to show it on the screen it should be made just like that. They should consult you, seriously :) The ending was just brilliant - not exactly the happy one, but giving so much hope that they will sort things out between themselves.
And as you already knew - but I could repeat it like 10 times more and it still wouldn't be enough - your descriptions are marvellous. It's not like sketching things, telling the reader: 'come on, just imagine it like you want, I don't really care'. Oh no, it's taking huge effort to let us see it in that exact way it was played in your head and it's so very enjoyable.

I like it very much. It could be like that in the show, very realistic. And I really like your writing style - it's very good.

Maybe you should write for the show...that was awesome!

Nice wrap up on 'misconception'. I like the idea. Jo doesn't seem like someone to back down, especially where a friend is concerned. Macvis and always will be stubborn. I really like the realism of how they are dealing with his problem.
