Great short story

Pretty nice!

Glad to see Kate is sharing with Castle. That she is realizing that she is not alone.

Well it is an awesome story, so I am not surprised at all. You write so well, it is always such a pleasure to read, and I am woefully inadequate with reviews. I wish I had the time to tell you how much I love reading all of your stories, just know that I really do.

Wow! Dark, yes... but oh, so good. I love the emotion, the pain, and that Kate lets Rick be there for her all the way now. So beautiful.

That was so sad, but so beautiful too. I love the connections you made with the Sorenson case, explaining how hard that was for her. And I love that Castle couldn't stay away, and she let him be there.

I liked how you had Kate open up to Rick especially after he pulled her out of the shower while crying. He didn't pester her for answers but provided him with one.

You did an excellent job with Kate's story of her friend and we learned why the cold case they worked affected her so much.

I also enjoyed how you had Rick feel about hearing Kate's story. It was a positive sign in their relationship that Kate shared something to him and only him.

The ending was touching and sweet.

This was so intensely beautiful and gripping. I reviewed it during the competition, but it so bears repeating. A case like this, where justice goes unserved with child victims, would be devastating and you wove such tenderness throughout. I'm glad I had read this after all the other entries, which were mostly fun and light. This was sobering and whooshed the air from my lungs in the manner reserved for exceptional dramas. Thank you so much for punctuating the 12th competition with such depth and compassion.

Heartbreaking, but beautifully written!

This was very different than most of the Halloween fics I've read. Still an amazing story but man that was just heart wrenching. Hits home in another manner. So glad Castle was there to share this with her. Once again. Great story.
