| SadReader chapter 18 . 6/12 I'm going to have to drop this fic if this is how you'll be treating Cloud. I could fully pretend that Sephiroth was holding back so he could die in your version of events, I could even get behind the idea of everyone being on Sephiroth's side at the moment. But I can't get behind how every character brushes aside Cloud's trauma caused by Sephiroth and how you are making it seem like Cloud had no excuse to immediately attack Sephiroth. The lack of support from Zack and Vincent towards Cloud was disappointing, and that "joke" scene with Cloud ranting about Sephiroth was horrible. Cloud has every reason to hate Sephiroth. If you watched AC and the most you got out of it was "there's no way Cloud could have won", that's disappointing. Cloud has trauma, he was dealing with depression and the losses of people he loved. This is why "The Fifth Act" is my favorite FF7 fic, because it fully acknowledges the trauma Cloud has, as well as is accepting that it isn't easy to for him to just sit back and forgive Sephiroth. I think I might have stayed to read the rest if at least one character was at the very least understanding of Cloud, but there wasn't. |
