VGS2 the sexy sausage chapter 1 . 3/16/2016
I saw this while exploring the fanfiction subreddit and just couldn't help but check it out. Grandia fanfiction's a rare sight these days, so I'd be at a miss if I didn't give it a looksee!

Gosh, this is a very pretty fanfiction, it must be said! It's not often I come across fics so eloquently written while still being interesting at the same time. You brought up lots of thought provoking topics, too. 'Twas a fun read, so good work! :P

It honestly makes me wanna play the game again. The voice clips were a little naff at times, but it's still one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had while playing a game. So yeah, might be worth giving it a go again. XP

Either way, thanks for the fun story, mate. Tata for now! c:
Martin III chapter 1 . 12/2/2013
A very pleasing little piece. It makes me very glad that, so many years after Grandia I was released, we're still getting thoughtful fanfics like this for it. The style of prose is unusual for a fanfic, but while I've learned to be wary of heavy, overly literary prose, I really can't find anything objectionable about how you've presented the ideas, and certainly the prose isn't being used to obscure poor characterization or lazy plotting. The theme of the fic is simple, but meaningful, and faithful to the source material. Nor is your scripting off the mark; the rhythm is engaging, the analogies are smooth and don't draw overt attention to themselves, and the tone is consistent.

Nice to see that you've updated the story to correct the typos pointed out in an earlier review. That's something I myself have failed to do with my fics, though I've always meant to. Again, nice piece of work, and a solid reminder of some of the things that made Grandia's story work so well.

Vlakoradon chapter 1 . 11/27/2012
First story review, here goes...!

I really enjoyed reading this. If I remember correctly, this is from Gontz's perspective right? It's very well written, even the time arrangements are very well thought out. I especially love how you integrated the video game appearance of him into this too, until I looked around the ruins back in the day, I hardly knew he was even there! It's great to see emotion present too, as it was very well portrayed in the game. Absolutely loved the ending also, a very definitive answer!

My overly finicky nature picked up on a few things, one in the fourth paragraph, the 'to' in "She got Puffy not to long..." should be 'too', and for accuracy's sake I believe Justin's father brought Puffy back for her from an adventure he had. One final thing (sorry!) I did notice was that the sentence "It was one of things, like, you start thinking about it..." seems to be a little...hard to get around. It may be good to alter it only slightly to "It was one of 'those' things," (without apostrophes), but either way it's still fantastic.

...I'm just nitpicking, and I'm sorry if this comes across unintentionally! I truly enjoyed this story, a big thank you to you for writing!
